Creative Cue 3
Creative Cue #3: TRACK
Use the Creative Cue as a starting point for a sketch, art work, journal page, photograph, painting, etc. You can use any type of medium you prefer….pencil, chalk, paint, fabric, etc. We hope you will share your results. There are a couple of ways to share:
- Comment on this blog post. In your comment, please share the URL link to your blog post, Flickr photo, etc. To avoid confusion, please provide a link that takes viewers directly to your Creative Cue result, or
- Post your Creative Cue image in the Three Creative Studios forum under the appropriate Creative Cue thread. Click here to get to the forum: http://threecreativestudios.com/forum/, or
- Do both of the above.
I hope you will consider joining us in the Creative Cue. We look forward to seeing your interpretation of the cue words. Please remember you are not required to make any commitments. Play along when you have time or when you want to. Have fun!

Here is my interpretation.

I hope it is allowed to refer to an earlier project wich has the same creative clue?
I love to receive some respons on this project, because I know something is wrong with it, but I cannot figure out exactly what it is. Is it the lay-out, the colours, the materials used?
In 2009 I worked on a project with the theme “Tracks”. You can see the resulting quilt “Mosaique du Soleil” and read the story behind it at:

Mine’s at: http://cre8tivekick.blogspot.com/2010/01/track.html
My drawing for “track” is here:

Its pretty busy, but then I guess so is my back yard!
To Karen:
Thank you very much for your comment.
Because I cannot find your e-mail address at your blog I am answering this way
To my regret the judges were working from photos.
Now I know how to make better photos with the tutorial from 3Creative Studios at:
http://threecreativestudios.com/free.htm
I also did not do much in the black border and white areas, which is a pity indeed
You are absolutely right: as long as the piece says what I had in mind to say then it is okay, but the piece still does not talk to me as I intend it to.
You will find my “track” interpretation here:

Last week, I briefly read the cue and remembered it later as “TARGET”, so my sketchbook drawing is Target. :>) Its on my blog.
Here’s my interpretation of Track(s) :
