Class Description: Faces are a very popular subject in art, but can often be a challenge to create.  In this class I will show you techniques that will make it easy for you to sketch a face, turn it into a pattern and then transform it into a unique and wonderful art quilt.  Don't worry if you've never drawn a face before, with the techniques and methods I share in these lessons, you'll be surprised at how much fun drawing can be.

Lesson 1:  We'll be starting from scratch and drawing faces.  You'll learn how to take your drawing from a sketch to a pattern.

Lesson 2:  We will be creating templates for our pattern and making fabric choices.

Lesson 3:  In this lesson you will start building your background and preparing/cutting your fabrics for your face and other focal shapes.

Lesson 4:  It's time to start sewing our pattern pieces and add some stitched design details.

Lesson 5:  I'll show you how to add dimension and details with paint.

Lesson 6:  It's time to finish our quilt.  Backing, binding, and hanging options will be discussed.
