Class Description:
Spend 4 weeks with me learning how to turn scraps of fabrics from your
stash into gorgeous collaged art quilts. I値l show you several
different techniques that you can use to add original personal touches
to your collages as well as different ways to display and use them.
Lesson
1: We値l start by talking about and making some rough
sketches and then I値l walk you through how to take those sketches
and turn them into a multi-sectioned collage quilt.
Lesson 2: This week you値l learn how to make a faux
batik focal piece that you can build your collage quilt around.
We値l also explore some fun ways to add interesting design elements to
your collaged quilts.

We値l be playing with gutta in this lesson. I値l show
you some alternatives to traditional gutta and we値l compare the
differences. Then I値l share my secret of how you can use
cotton duck fabric to add an artistic flair to your collage creations.

4:
Adding text to a collage can help to unify an otherwise unrelated
group of elements and I知 going to show you ways to add text to your
collage quilts. You値l also learn how to paint a focal design
on your collage and how to make the most of your scrap stash.
