Puzzle Quilt
Here is my Puzzle Quilt for the Challenge. I had fun making it. I’ll retake these pictures later in the week when I get my camera back from getting fixed. These were taken with a phone camera.
I got the idea for this quilt from a postcard I made awhile ago. Here is a photo of the postcard.
I started thinking about the idea of a Robbing Peter to Pay Paul quilt, but in rectangles. This quilt is an idea that, if expanded to a larger quilt with many more blocks, could look cool with a shifting of the hues and values across the quilt.
After making two squares (pictured) I drew a sketch to see what a bunch would look like arranged in that manner. After making 12 blocks, I decided to arrange them the way they are in the final quilt. But the Robbing Peter to Pay Paul idea would work better, I think, with the original arrangement.
Here is the quilt back also.
You can see my other work at my blog.
P.S. It’s still February 28 here in California, as I post this. =)
